    Service engine soon

    My 2004 gto will not idle good untill the message comes up that says service engine soon then it will idle great just wanted to know if when that comes on does the cars ecu go into some kinda fail safe program i have pp heads 230in 227ex 591in 571ex 114 lsa cam in also

    what code is it throwing, or codes?

    you said it says service engine soon, so we need to know the codes throwing this, otherwise there is nothing we can do.

    he probably doesnt understand that whenever the idiot light comes on, or SES is displayed, theres a code, or codes, that tag(s) along with it.

    cool, so it was throwing a p0101, p0102 or p0103 code i assume?
