Rear 02's disabled but codes still popping up even after set to no error reported

Just a simple tune on a pickup with headers, no cats, no rear 02's. Will throw codes for P036, P037 then run rough. Codes are set to no error reported but they are still reporting. Anyone know what is going on? Seen it happen alot of times on these newer Gen V's.

HAve you tried plugging the sensors back in and just tie them up and out of the way?

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Have you disabled your catalyst test?

If the codes show as permanent then those magically disappear after a few drive cycles. What are they showing up as?

    From what I understand...

If you removed the rear o2s before disabling the codes you will be stuck with a permeant long-term history code. Only way around this is to plug them back in and let everything reset back to being happy then disable the codes, then remove the o2's.

I haven't tested this yet to confirm though., I still have permanent codes saved in mine from not doing it this way at the moment.

I wanted to point out that this works well to clear the permanent rear O2 errors but be sure to turn off ALL the rear O2 DTCs and unplug after they are cleared as they do strange things like run rich after transitioning from DFCO if they are plugged in but not in the exhaust stream.

I had to re install my rear o2s and zip tie them up to the frame. Drove to work and boom all permanent codes gone. I have all my rear o2 dtc’s set to no error reported with the ses enable still checked. Still working on my readiness monitors.

Good to hear the permanent codes are gone. Be sure to watch your wideband... if the rear O2s are not in the exhaust stream, but plugged in, DFCO transition to idle will go very rich (like 10-11 AFR) until you unplug them again...at least that is what happened to me. GM uses rear O2 data for some long term trims. Rear O2s are not just catalyst performance monitors anymore...

i was able to mess with dtc's and make a tune just to get through inspection. now i know i can do that im going to unplug them again. i will check to see if there is a difference. i have noticed it richer on decel but i attributed it to other things.
