Question WHY?? AFR Roller Coaster at steady state driving

Small annoyance but it is driving me crazy.

    When:
    -Steady state driving
    -RPM = 1000 --- 2500
    -TP = 10% --- 18%

It feels like a surge when cruising along. The surge feeling mirrors the up and down AFR (see pic below)...

Any ideas or help??? All mods in SIG...

Look at the Closed Loop Proportial Base vs Airflow Mode table and reduce it 20-40% to start. Then re-log and see if AFR error is as jaggy.
Also look at the Idle proportional. It will probably need a reduction as well.

I had to set mine to 0 at low flow, definately looks like that is what is happening.

I knew I would the answer here...

The answer was in the Closed-Loop Proportional Base vs. Airflow fueling. I reduced the values and got immediate results. Logged some this AM and will fine tune after lunch...

Is there a procedure to fine tune these values??? (log this or that and compare to current values, then make change???) OR is it a poke and hope then try again deal???

    Thanks All

You've got them logged now. What you want to happen is the STFT dithering back and forth about 3-6% if it's less than that you need to increase the value. If it's more, decrease. Can't give you exact values as there aren't any pids that deal directly with mode number. You will have to interpolate from the General Mode vs Airflow table to see where you are.
