that's awesome dude - i imagine HPT's what gave u the edge? everything else looks like u should be in the 15's or so w/ those mods, maybe upper 14's? really i'm surprised you're not in the 1's w/ your 60' w/ those drag radials, though... those are the ones i'm looking at getting.

so what did you see the biggest gains with? p&p head is also something on my list. i can't believe you're revving to 7500 on stock valves & springs!

now i just get to keep waiting for HPT to support my 2.2

Cams, head and throttle body FTW on his biggest power gains. AND HPT :P

BTW did the cams make 7500 rpms usefull? that's the only thing I see that would allow you to still be making power all up to 7500.

the cams and head and exhaust... the car pulls HARD to around 7200rpm if I rev a little higher, it drops me into a stronger part of the power band

When I let out of a shift, the revs drop to about 5100rpm and pulls like hell

I spin into 2nd gear and chirp third almost all the time.. even if I shift early at only 6400rpm =D

The patriot head had a full upgraded valvetrain in it, so I'm not on stock valves and springs, but the bottom end is wholly stock

stock pistons, rods, crank, bearings, balanceshafts

its hard to believe I bought this engine for $500 from a local junkyard.. I bet it never thought it would be powering the fastest street driven n/a jbody the country has ever seen lol

I'm looking to run an ITB setup or something similar to get the finaly .3 and put me into the 13s all motor

then I'll start finishing up the last bit of parts I need to finally turbo charge the car and build the engine at the same time

but for early of '07 I plan on installing quaiffe LSD, pulling the balance shafts, running an ITB setup, and MAYBE stripping the car to see how deep into the 13s I can get it

I would have to say the head working in tandem with the cams and exhaust is what made the biggest power, but even on a stock head the LZM triflow cams helped top end power in a huge way but there was considerable lag in power until 4800rpm.

with the patriot stage 2, the car just has a higher power band everywhere, and power doesn't drop off until 7200ish RPM

with ITB I'll probably be shifting at 7500 religiously since they're known for making big power uptop with a short velocity stack

I have a few more tricks up my sleeve with the current mods I have for this weekend.. we'll see what she can do on the last day of '06

Hey PJ Send me pics whenever you get the ITBs on. They look super sexy on civics haha, but never seen them on a cavy.

Dude I would be very interested in seeing how much power you are putting down to the front wheels. Have you been on a Dynojet dyno?

Oh, and have you weighed the car? I would be interested in knowing that. I am doing an Ecotec swap into my car too. I was pretty set on boost but the N/A times are really impressing me

his car weighs 2500 - all calculations, as well as his guesses, point to high 170's for whp.
