    Considering VCM Suite

    Bill, I have a 2005 C6 (6 speed mnl, Z51)....just completed following mods:

Kooks long tubes, XO and hi-flow cats
    Corsa sports
    Vararam with TB spacer
Ported intake & TB (FAST is next)
    160 thermostat
    Ignition upgrades
    Gears coming
    A few more planned

I am seriously considering the HP Tuner Product, but have a concern.....

    Here's the situation:

Originally I bought that other manufacturer's "blue handheld tool" to modify the tune accordingly. To say the least, I had some issues and have requested an RMA to return the unit.

In summary - here's my concern....

-When I connected the other manufacturer's tool to the OBD-II port and went to "Performance Tune" it displayed; "12605740 - part number not found in vehicle database".
-Spoke to their Tech Support guy and was told I had an "unsupported earlier version" factory program and would have to have the dealer reflash to the latest revision.
-Like a dope, I took the car to the dealer (used the battery run-down complaint) and had the reflash done.
-When I returned home, I connected the "blue tool" again and got the same message....was not a happy camper.
-I've already requested an RMA to send this "tool" back

IMO - if a manufacturer says the tool will work on the 2005 C6 LS2, it should. I shouldn't have to be negotiating with the dealership to perform flash upgrades on a car that has performed flawlessly since the day I bought it.

    Bottom line:

    1) Is this "unsupported earlier version" thing going to be a problem with the HP Tuner product as well?
    2) Will I be able to restore my factory tune for dealer servicing?

The car only has 11,600 miles on it, still has 8 months left on the factory warranty, and I'm certain I've already raised the dealer's curiosity.

    Your thoughts???

As long as it IS a valid operating system for your vin number we will allow you to tune it, whether we've seen that operating system previously or not we will add it if need be but YES if it is a valid file for that vin we WILL support it PERIOD.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I am trying to follow the steps outlined in the SDTuningGuide.doc in the above link. I am not sure if I am interpreting step number 4 correctly. It sounds as if the document is telling you to replace all values in the corresponding tables with a value of 1 to simplify the math and for logging reasons. I tried that and the vehicle barely runs. Did I mis-understand this step?

    Thank you.

    Active handling

We would like to be able to shut off the active handling in my car. Is there any way to do this?

    injector spreadsheet question:

it shows that the injector flow rate changes with MAP. This is only accurate if you are running a vacuum/boost referenced regulator correct? If you regulator runs straight off of atm, the flow rate will always be constant right?

right click on your table display... find your throttle position.. add it to your table display.

    ETC = electronic throttle control

if it is working then you will see tps position changing when you move the throttle..

EDIT********************* Log all TPS Positions and find the one that reads 100% at WOT and 0% with no throttle movement..

The thread was deleted by the original poster, only they can restore it and I can only assume if they wanted it deleted that they aren't going to restore it.
