DLC to Serial Converter

I need a way to communicate with my DLC on my Pre-96 Fords. They use EEC-IV with the D style DLC plug. I wish to create an interface and write the software for it. I have found OBD-II interfaces all over the net, I need the Schematics for one for EEC-IV.
