Thread: IFR for 42# Green Tops

    IFR for 42# Green Tops

What should the IFR table read for green top 42# injectors? The vehicle is a 2003 Corvette Z06 with its stock fueling system.

Here is the current IFR table. I have a feeling it is off. Symptoms are cold start issues. It will fire right up, but die right there after. Warm starts are fine. I feel it has to do with the IFR table because other tunes seem to work fine where everything is basically the same except for the IFR.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Post your tune and a scan log, so we can look at all the data. What are the mods to the car? Do you have a wideband?

    Mods:
    AFR 225 heads, small bore
    224/224 109LSA cam
    LG LTs
    2.5'' duals, catless
    Stock mufflers
    Vararam
    LM-1 WB

I have it idling at 1000 due to the high performance clutch that makes a lot of noise at low RPM. Clatters away until you engage the clutch. Eliminated the dying on cold crank-ups with the newer tune. But maybe you might know what the IFR "should" look like.

Attached is the latest tune. I have no logs saved.

    Sport Side,

Try this one, I need to see a scan log in closed loop. I need to see the fuel trims. You have way too much spark timing, these motors need no more than 24* wot spark timing. What is your WOT AFR?

I used this table for some green tops(non SVO)
    48.48824 48.79827 49.10830 49.41832 49.72835 49.97637 50.28640 50.59643 50.84445 51.15448 51.46450 51.71253 52.02255 52.27057 52.58060 52.82862 53.13865

and 24*-28* is typical for WOT with proper fueling...
you really have to put it on the dyno to see if you can use the extra spark...
the last car I tuned that was a similar setup to yours liked 12.6 at peak torque and 12.9 at peak HP...and liked 27* of timing as well....
    every car is different..

Those values are similar to what it had before, but it was running up past 19.0 A/F at partial throttle and idle. I was adding and adding VE and it didn't really even seem to richen up the mixture. Lowering the IFR to what it is now seems to have helped the most. Is something else possibly wrong? The car usually runs in OLSD, but I have it in CLSD as for the tune above.

sportside, you have a completely wrong OLFA, IFR is arbitrary, VE is wrong as a result of it. i'm amazed that this thing moves forward at all. start reading the stickies in pcm section on ls1tech, it's all there, then start tuning from scratch again.
