1 O2 and 1 IPW, its not too hard to figure out. I am just trying to figure out what 2 parameters he is scanning that tell him his fueling is different from bank to bank... becuase as far as I know, the only corect way is via plug colours (or as mentioned EGT).

I'm sure he's getting similar results as I have gotten on my friends Impala. My GTP doesn't read B2, but apparently some cars do. We have (1) fuel rail with all 6 injectors in it. (1) o2 in rear manifold & (1) o2 post cat. Where would you even register a second bank? Somethings . When you get your software, i've posted my log of both scenarios & common config file some threads back for reference. I'm sure it's an easy no brainer explanation we're not seeing.

You can scan both Injector pulse width some scantools. how the computer will decide to skew each bank is beyond me without a seconed O2 sensor.

On my 3800 firebird I had a O2 sensor for both cylinder banks, and i could scan IPW for each injector bank.

The important thing here is not to confuse Injector banks, with cylinder banks.

Supposedly with a Sequental port injection system the injector drivers can skew an individual cylinder.

In a mulitport system like my 89 TPI 350 V8 firebird, I could only skew cylinders based on cylinder banks, (4 at a time). But i still only had 1 O2 sensor so i never used it.

as 85 drop top said i dont see how it is scanning banks when we are sfi. (sequential fuel injetion) where each injector is adjusted seperately. Older Fi systems like the 2.8 and 3.1 fi and v8mpfi systems were using what was called batch dump where it could only adjust an entire bank of injectors as a group.

The only way I can see you getting specific information is to put in a wide band in each manifold to measure exhaust for each bank or if you were able to scan individual injector pulse width.

And honestly unless you have a printout from an injector flow matching shop you could have an injector that flows 10% less than the highest flowing injector in your set and you would have to read your plugs to tell that.

I have flow match injectors and received a printout with the injectors labeled so I know what each injector flowed. I ran the motor with injector skew at 100 across the board and drove it then adjusted the skew to match the print out and can safely say it made a noticable difference in how the motor ran and these injectors were matched to +/-1%. I tried to adjust skew by spark plugs but it isnt very acurate

The PID is average injector pulse width, not individual injector pulse width.

This answer is still a mystery to me. But anyways, I'm scanning them because as far as I've seen so far you cannot chose what things to scan like the PT it just scans everything.

If you want to remove a pid just select it in the table and hit the delete key. If you want to add something, select and open spot and hit insert... They have demos on how to do this.
