mainly reading the lambda o2 `sensor to display A/F ratio's instead of Mv readings.
Well since they are 4 wire sensors and not 5 wire they are standard o2 sensors.

Sounds like they are simply logging commanded eq ratio which in our software will probably show up in lambda for that pcm.

having 4 o2 sensors how do I tell HPT to look at the lambda ones? right now its looking at a Mv reading which tells me its looking at the standard ones
The older N/A Northstar engines with the Siemens controller (and Siemens calibration) used true wideband (5 wire) UEGOs. Specifically, a Bosch LSU4.x
Technically, all "oxygen sensors" are also "lambda sensors". They don't really care what fuel you're buring, they just change their output depending on where you're at relative to stoichiometry. Narrowbands have a variable output voltage 0-1v, and UEGOs (widebands) have a variable current from the Nernst cell that may be either positive or negative, depending on whether you're rich or lean. If it's only a 4-wire connection, I would most likely consider it a narrow band HEGO, regardless of what somebody at a dealership or tech line says.
EC Tune just explained that none of the 4 you have are wideband sensors and I've explained how to log lambda commanded afr.

my confusion is that other people have STS-V's and other tuning software and they are seeing real A/F ratios. 10.5 14.0 Etc. with no more than plugging in that same way I do. The last thing i want is yet another bung hole in my exhaust (giving me headaches at the dealer for modifying) just to get a true A/F ratio before hte Cat. There has to be a way to use Caddy's output to se this.
That's COMMANDED Air Fuel Ratio that you are seeing, not Actual Air Fuel Ratio. The stock o2's won't show you that, just whether you are rich or lean of stoch.

If not then a bung hole it is. How about the extra Tq nanny's that still reside in the ECM after we turn off all the tq options HPT is showing us? There still seems to be more in the car that in the HPT software engine or tranny..

I feel like a newb but what are nanny's? There are probably over 5000 parameters in the pcm & a similar amount in the TCM, what we try to do is give you the parameters needed to tune the vehicle properly between the two. If there are more parameters you'd like to see or need feel free to post what your looking for in the feature request section and an explanation of why and include your hptuners scanner log showing the issue as well as your .hpt file used for the scan & we'll look into what we can add.

The STS-V being an automatic has Tq Nanny's in the software limiting the amound of power going to the rear wheels. To better explain it, when the tranny kicks down a gear or two under WOT it feels like the car shifts down a 1/2 gear for a couple of seconde then kicks the rest of the power ot the rear wheels. There are Tq limiters prohibiting you from dumping all the power to the rear wheels. I would like to remove them. BUT I do understand there is another format for requesting or working on functionality.
If you completely remove the torque limiters during gearshifts (while the trans is 1/2way engaged), be prepared to title your next post, "Anyone know a good trans builder for my STS-V?" You CANNOT apply full torque when the gears/clutches are not completely engaged and expect them to live as long as stock. GM is not stupid.
Not really what i was describing. Let me try again. when on the dyno in 4th gear holding about 2k rpm and then going WOT you get a tq limiter hesitation (dip or bog) for about 250 to 500 rpm's before you get a strong pull (full hp/tq) delivered to the rear. You can feel this on the dyno and on the street. You can also see it in the dyno graph.
when does this get easier?
