    05 speedo correction

How can I fix the speedo for taller tires? the tire height and rear ratio boxes don't show up in the tune. 3.73 gears with 31.6 tall tires.

I'm working on the very same problem right now.

I bet it would be easy if I knew how to use an XLS file, lol.

Search is my friend, but I wish I paid more attention in that computer class I took 15 years ago.

Read this link and plug in your numbers.

I'm just going for a roadtest with my gps, I'll post back my results.

(edit) worked perfectly, bang on with a gps unit (edit)

Yeah, I can't imagine tuning gears/tires now without my gps.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

What about the final drive ratio fields? What is the difference between the 2? the truck has a 3.73 rear end in it. the ratio field has 3.73. the trans field has 4.10. What is the difference?

I didn't mess with the ratio fields at all. Just the tire rev per mile and the VSS ppm.

I would read too much into the rest of the fields, to quote the song, don't worry, be happy. Worked for me anyway.
