Thread: Initial 2bar SD scanning issue?

  1. #1

    Initial 2bar SD scanning issue?

Yesterday I began my maf to 2bar SD tune. Going to post my tune tonight to get some advice or opinions.

Opened my scanner to check things and my added 2bar pid reads 6psi boost at idle? any blip of the gas and it goes up? (is a procharged car, but was always in vaccuum)

Tried to open histogram for timing and unsupported? Do I need to change the table to read something different? map vs timing?

*Tune and config added in post #4

~14.7psi=atmospheric pressure, more info can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_pressure

You might want to post your scanner log if you want help figuring out why your histograms are not working as you think they should.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

ah, thanks Bill. I guess it would make since that atmospheric is 14.7 and my map reads or displays 6-7psi at idle. Subtract the two and I would get an actual measurement correct? Can map sensors even read vacuum? I will post scanner and tune tonight. Thanks!

The scanner config doesn't help much, a scanner log(.hpl) will.

First thing I notice is your maf being set to error on second mil, you should simply set it to no mil light so it immediately falls to SD mode.

Also since you are commanding OL all of the time & your OL fuel table is commanding an eq ratio of 1.12 all of the time your probably commanding ~13.1:1 afr all the time ie idle, & pt then at wot going richer because of your pe & be tables.

    Log

Here is a quick log from my car. There is almost nothing being scanned? Not even RPM.

Well since you aren't scanning rpm any histogram that has an axis of rpm will not work.

Im sorry Bill I dont understand. I only made one change to the configuration of my current scanner? I attempted to add the correct pid for a 2 bar map sensor. I dont get why my scanner config which was working perfectly prior to applying the 2bar sd enhancement would change any setting in my scanner?

    Anyone explain this?

Add engine RPM to your table display.
