    You can't turn it off.

You can change the PCM to disregard the MIL for certain codes, but it's still active.

if this is the case, when the rear o2's are disconnected will the computer try and over / under fuel?

if so how do you fix this?

    thanks

The rear O2 sensor is not for fueling anyways, but to tell you if the cat is working or not. You can keep the CEL from coming ono for the rear O2 sensor.

I've got these codes after swapping out my header/dp.

    P0030
    P0053
    P0134
    P0135
    P2A00

They all refer to oxygen sensor and heater control issues. Is it okay to disable all of them? My car drives great and idles fine, but I was shocked at how many codes modifying my exhaust threw up. I kept an aftermarket cat in the downpipe too.

If u remove the rear o2 from the harness disable all codes (set to no reporting and uncheck mil light) anythign having to do with bank 1 o2 sensor 2 and do the same for catalytic efficiency codes

I run it liek this on my redline...and pass obd2 emissions checks...on multiple cars

you can leave the rear o2 connected if you have the aftermarket cat and such there, might as well incase someone looks, so just disable those MIL's in the VCM and your good to go. basicailly the hi-flow cat isnt working as well as the factory restrictive unit would be (but it still works!) so your good to go.

.... did hpt start supporting 08 'balts when i wasnt looking? i think it only goes up to 2007 sooo... you cant disable the codes or anything, as far as i am aware, however you can get a rear O2 simulator. i have also heard of people getting some kind of boss that screws into the o2 boss in the exhaust, allowing the o2 sensor to be set back into it more, use two of them and the decreased amount of exhaust that gets to the sensor will make it read in a way that the vcm thinks its still operating 100%, even with the cat completley removed.

quick question about the o2 sensors. why does neither bank 1 sensor 1 or senor 2 not show up when scanning on these cars?
