Can HPTuners read and flash the entire 2MB flash in the 6 speed TCM?
While on what can be done, do you give access to the shift tables for "Default mode"?

TCM only? No.

in theory yes we can, but we don't. It takes around 45mins to completely read the TCM. So we just read and write the cal only.Originally Posted by Cougar281

Well, Assuming both full read and write where possible, one reason would be if one had an 07 (classic) Duramax/6speed and wanted to turn off adaptive upshifts or adaptive downshifts. AFAIK, those options exist in the 06 tunes, but not in the 07. If you could full read an 06 TCM, then full flash that tune into the 07, you could then disable the adaptive up/downshift.Originally Posted by CRASHNBURN

The problem with many of the late model pcm's & tcm's is if the bootloaders don't match you could end up with a brick on your hands making write entires more harmful then anything for the most part. This is why we don't offer write entires for some applications & don't recommend ever doing one unless absolutely necessary.Originally Posted by Cougar281
