They will have everything you will ever need.

I have a HPI RS4 Type SS Camaro Body nitro car, back when I got it, it was kit form and I built it from the ground up = VERY FUN!

If your not that experienced with RC cars, then I would suggest getting a cheaper electric one from the store to learn how to drive one, those gas powered cars are very fast, mine stock goes 40+MPH in a VERY short amount of time/distance.

Depends what you want, Chris@hpt is the man when it comes to them though

Here's a short vid of one of our revo's from last years meeting http://www.thetuningdoctor.com/HPTun...meet%20188.MOV

Mine is out of commission temporarily but fast enough to cause catastrophic destruction if you hit something at even 1/4th speed lol...don't ask how I know.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

first thing you need to decide is if you want an on-road car or an off-road truck/buggy. if you don't have access to flat and mostly rock free parking lots or paved areas and on-road car isn't gonna be much fun becuase they are very low to the ground eg. 1/4 inch off the ground.

typically most nitro rc stuff is 1/8 scale. this means the cars/trucks are roughly 1/8 the size of their real cousins. 1/10 scale means 1/10 the size. Most electric rc stuff is 1/10 scale for on road.

unless you like ordering from online stores the best advice is to go down to your local hobby shop and ask some questions about the cars and which ones they hold spares for. Many shops sell a lot of different cars but only carry a lot of spares for a few. Beware of cheap ebay chinese vehicles as you will spend more time fixing them and dealing with some dodgy importer on ebay than having fun.

If you want a monster truck or other offroad truck vehicle that is fast, fun that doesn't break easy, but is not cheap either check out the Traxxas Revo or the HPI Savage. www.traxxas.com or www.hpiracing.com for the most enjoyment you will want to get something that is 4wd, much easier to handle.

If you want something onroad for fun then traxxas and hpi also have them.

If you want to race then there are a LOT more brands and vehicle to choose from!!

I have a hyper pbs 4wd buggy i would like to sell.It has a nice upgraded radio and powerful high speed servos.I will be prefectly honest,i have had a few rc nitro cars and trucks, and they take a hit and will break. But the hyper 7 has been through hell and back and still looks great and has NEVER broken down on me.The only thing that broke was the pull starter, but guess what, the buggy comes with a starter box,so no need for a pull start anyways...It does about 43 mph and has about 1.5 gallons run through it.PM me if your interested.i have had a lot of fun with it but dont have much time these days to run it around.

That's the problem with the rc-cars. Most parts just aren't strong enought. I've got a HPI Savage and put the bigger 4.6cc enigne in it. Every now and then, I need a new rear diff...

Tower Hobbies is a great place for RC cars. I used to mess around with the Sandmaster RC car about 12 years ago. It was a great model, however the rear differential crapped out after the car would not stop doing donut's just off of idle to full throttle acceleration! Plan on getting more than a few set's of rear tires as you will burn through your first pair very quickly. Fun little machines to play with no doubt about it.
