Simultaneous engine & trans flash - any plan to make optional?

    Hi HPT,

Any plans to give tuners an option to either flash the ECM or the TCM as opposed to flashing both being mandatory all the time? (E38/T42 for example).

    Thanks!

Its on our to do list but a low priority right now.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

OHHHH man would that be nice, I just assumed that both needed to be written due to GM protocols or something. Keith@HPTuners, if this is something I can work on for you let me know! I hate having to wirte to both, even though it is only 30-40 seconds, it all adds up during an initial tune.

GM writes them seperately, so no issue there.

Yes when doing 30+ flashes per day......it adds up. Also, and I may be incorrect, if you are focussed on the trans cals and the ECM's learns are already done, then they are reset to zero when they dont need to be......

    This would be GREAT!!

I've only done 1 HHR and 1 Cobalt with the E67/T42 combo. They require a write entire! Nothing like making a trans tweak and taking about 6 - 8 minutes to write.

Not a huge deal, but I agree...saving 30+ seconds would be cool.

I'm glad it's at least on the todo list.
