gm announced that the new camaro LS3 and L99 6.2L engines will use the same E38 controller found in the corvette
does this mean support sould come quickly after the vehicles come out?

Yes.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

what about the fact that the gm tech2/candi module will no longer support this vehicle and the new gds(global diagnostic system) along with the gm MDI are needed to communicate with the 2010 camaro and other 2010 gm vehicles because they changed the speed of the can bus??
will the hptuners box still be able to comunicate with this vehicle?
AFAIK yes.

thanks, hopefully mine will be here next month
as far as i understand , the reason why the Tech2 etc.. will become obsolete for the newer vehicles (meaning you require the GM MDI) is because of the following.
There is the CAN BUS (Hi Speed)
There is the UART (Low Speed)
these 2 can comunicate with tech 2
but there will be a third which will be a Mid Speed.. this is what tech 2 can no communicate with regardless of candi fitted or not... i guess it was easier for them to release a new module that would be future proof and also alow them to create laptop based software to go with their GM Global Web based software
Any E.T.A. on 2010 Camaro coverage Bill?

As soon as someone with access to one sends us a read I'll be able to give an eta.
I have a vin number from one but no calibration data is found on TIS yet so I don't know if its a new os or something already supported by us. Either way we'll have support available rather quickly more than likely once we get a read.

I will see if I can capture the tune...
no word on my camaro yet, probly 3-4 weeks out yet, the cars are being delivered,, that would be great if someone could get a read on one soon
Bill I just sent you a info log on a 2010 camaro that our shop has.
Yeah one of our tunershops was able to successfully read out their 2010 car and I've already forwarded it to our engineers for mapping.

Yes, we had to get the other software because I could not wait. I got the efilive software after I inquired with Hp tuners. I saw no reason to limit our selves to one brand of tuning software.
thanks, got it
