    an i write a 2002 Os over my 2000 Os

    I have a 2000 transam with a 1 bar sd enhancement.Can i take a 2002 file and get it enhanced and write it over my 2000 file without problems.I want the cylinder charge temp bias table that the 2002 file has.Do i need to put my vin in the 02 file for it to work.Any help would be great thanks guys.

    Yes you can... but you will have to license the VIN in HPTuners to flash it to your car. You will need to do a write entire to make it work right. I'm running a 2002 OS on my 2000 car myself to take advantage of some more tables.

    Your VIN will not work trying to put it in while using the newer 2002 OS because the VIN is year specific and if you try to put a 2000 model VIN in a 2002 OS it will say it's an invalid VIN. Just run the VIN that comes with the doner 2002 OS file you get and keep your stock 2000 file incase you want to flash it back to the stock OS.

    great thanks for the info.Now you said i will have to liscence the vin for it to work.But if i have the 2002 model year liscence then i shouldnt have to do that right??thanks again
