I have a friend that has a car entering reduced power. His only code is the EBCM shutdown code, C1278 and no other. The 0068/1514 table is maxed out at 4.10. He has a KB supercharged 408 with all the goodies. Manual trans, Heads, cam, exh etc. It goes into reduced power on the launch. I was told that the P0101 MAF fail high value should be 255 instead of 0 even though it's a 3-bar tune and would like confirmation on that because I have a 2 bar and have never had an issue with it set to 0.
About the Scalar, he has a 90mm throttle body which should have a value of .0192 and the value placed in there is .0355.
Next item is the P0106 Error Calculated Max. Since it has a twin screw blower, it is able to build max boost at very low rpm's, but his values are lower than what I would have when taking this into account. Can exceeding the values in this table cause reduced power mode?
Also, is it possible that he has something causing the reduced power that is not being reported due to the DTC's table having that function set to 3 " no error reported" so we're not getting a hint as to what's causing the reduced power?
Tune posted.
