Hi folks here the deal ..I bought a 98 camaro ran great foe 2 weeks. now check engine light is on and my oil dip stick has a gas odor. runs a bit choppy but still has power 5th major trouble with acceleration..please help!

If it was a Gen1 SBC w/ a mechanical fuel pump, I'd say that you had a fuel pump taking a dive.
I'm not sure on the architecture of the LS1 in regards to injector placement, but you may have either a leaking injector(s) and a bad intake seal allowing fuel to leak into the crankcase, or bad rings. More than likely the latter
What code are you getting?
