    See the difference in octane 87 vs. 93

    This is not meant to teach anyone anything they didn't already know. It is just an interesting comparison to look at.

    I did not change anything between logs except PE Enable from 80% to 60% TPS and PE AFR from 13.0 to 12.8 AFR. Other than that the overall tune just has limiter, fan, and speedo changes.

    I logged some quick WOT stuff getting onto and cruising on the highway with 87 and 93 octane both from Shell, and with similar weather during logs. New fuel was added from an empty tank, which made this comparison cost effective and easy. Logged timing on the spark advance histogram seems to be slightly higher with the 93 octane, however knock is still there at high load / high RPM, just in fewer cells. In the screenshot, the top is 87 octane, the bottom is 93 octane.
