If you had to make a quick checklist...

I'm somewhat lost and trying to figure out what order to do things. From what I've gathered it seems like it should go something like this:

    -learn to scan
-learn basics (dtc's, rev limiter, fans, shift points etc)
    -VE
    -MAF
    -AFR

correct where I'm wrong.. I think this would help a lot of people out..(including me)

your list is exactly in order as I understand it

different people with different plaforms may say maf before ve but most posts I have read start with ve , other than that I cant see where anything else in your order would be changed

Here is a little more complicated but is a good way to go about it:

-Base spark and commanded AFR (with richer VE/MAF)
    -Tune the VE
    -Tune the MAF
-Final tweaks on spark and AFR
    -Final verification of fueling tables

I just like checking things twice to be certain
