alright guys im getting a lil frustrated with my car, finally got it to stop popping the P300 CELS, but now im getting P2237? wtf man just wanna set the car on fire now..... car is still smoking after and only after WOT, seem to be whit or light colored smoke???found a lil oil both on the intake and charge pipe inlets??? is my car gona blow up soon??? can this be a bad turbo? valve? head leak? tune?

O yeah, also have you guys heard of their being a bulliten for the lnfs that if there is any aftermarket parts on the car the dealer will not touch or check the vehicle? this is what my local dealer is telling me. so many issues with this car so far, just hope to get it running right, and make decent amount of power or the power it supposed to make for the mods i have. sorry for the long rant guys

The P2237 is no biggie. You are catless right? I disabled that code after it popped a month after going catless.

Ive had the Cam data blank out, when that happens the car runs shitty and will smoke under hard load. Reset the ecu, watch the cam data, if it hasnt come back, let the car idle a second and it will.

The 2237 Ive just started getting finally. I disabled it but the AFR keeps blanking out on the RPD now when I WOT.

Have you tried making a custom PID instead of just trying to log SENS.34?

Say, try [SENS.34.psi], and remember to have your ranges set up to 3k or so. I would try this, but I don't have the car to log on, so I am relying on you guys...

Thats what I did was make a custom PID. I didnt do [SENS.34.psi] tho, I just did [SENS.34] and selected psi from the drop down list. Then set the range to 0-2500. Showed nothing at all

how do i reset the ecu? unhook the battery? so the 2237 isnt a bad thing? i pop the cel light usually on cold start ups, the last time it just turned off on its own, then came on again on a cold start up?

What about the lil bit of oil in the intake and charge pipe inlets?

Dang. I wonder if we could log it with the stable release 2.22?

Click on the little engine icon in the scanner. DTC's.

Click the red X to reset any codes.

I have a wee bit of oil in the intake, it's from the breather tube most likely. If your not loosing much, don't sweat the small stuff. No seals are perfect. The more boost you run, the more likely to get a bit of blowby.

Yeah, I had a good bit of oil in the intake, and I am sure in the charge pipes. Its normal for a boosted engine to have some oil consumption.

ok and the smoke issue? kinda hate going into WOT now cause once i start braking or let off i blow smoke. kinda shitty and embarrasing! this is what really bothers me, never did it before till i got that first initial bad tune.if i flash it back to stcok and it doesnt do it anymore what could it be?

If you flash to stock and it doesn't do it, its likely that you are running a bit rich, and its blowing the extra fuel through the cat without getting burnt up. Or, you are catless, and there is nothing to trap the extra fuel, and its a cloud of unburnt fuel. You could probably benefit from leaning it up a bit up top if you don't see any knock.

You might still get it from being catless, but it will be better with the stock tune.

Do you use fuel with ethanol in it? Could be burning water out of the exhaust.

Just going out on a limb here.

Keep an eye on your coolant, cuz if its a bad head gasket, that will be your first indicator, along with coolant in the oil.

I'll make a post when its done, but I just ordered all the stuff to make my sealed catch can setup. Its not a 10 dollar ebay setup, but it'll catch a good portion of the oil and is something I've used on the MR2. It'll all be plug-n-play removable including the push on fuel fittings.

Quite a bit more oil in the CP's/Intake than I'm used to on my turbocharged cars, but FWIW I don't usually use synthetic either That doesnt help the situation at all.

Turbo shouldn't be white smoke, but I guess its possible. Maybe some coolant is leaking into there? IDK, without looking at it personally, I can't say. Your description of white smoke might be my description of purple smoke, ya know?
