    Timing procedure on a dyno???

I've got two hours on a dyno coming up on Wednesday. I already have the fuel trims and PE dialed in. I want to work on timing.

My truck is a kenne bell supercharged 2002 5.3L Avalanche.

The dyno is the type that will hold a load at desired RPMs.

I'm thinking I'd like to set a load and then tweak the real time advance adjustments up and down to find the max torque at that load. Maybe hit as many of these load points as I can so I can build a timing map for the various airflow/rpm curves.

Wide open HP isn't as important to me as crisp street performance is. Getting both would be great.

Any suggestions on how to make the best use of the dyno time?

    thanks, kw

All you really need is good rich closed loop fuelling and smoth spark transitions at part throttle delivered from a smooth spark table. The actual spark shoudln't vary greatly at part throttle from your stock settings, only a few degrees.
