    problem tuning ve. commanded afr changes when car is put in open loop?

    I'm trying to tune VE with a AEM wideband with a custom afr error pid.
    for some reason when i paste multiply by % the error to the ve table... my afr gets leaner. I think its doing this because...when i put the car in open loop by turning off closed loop via the scanner. the commanded afr starts changing. when i have it in closed loop it stays at a steady 14.4. the afr error % is off more after the adjustments in the tune. should the commanded afr be changing?

    2001 3.8 v6 camaro, T5, ford 42lb green top injectors, grand national .63 a/r turbo. 8psi. stock motor, ngk tr6 plugs (one step colder) 91 octane.

    2001 4.3 zr2 s10. daily driver, 31" tires, 4x4, cat! and exhaust. looking for mpg.
