A write entire wont always make your computer crash I have done it a dozen times no problem. Check computer fuses and see if you can connect to the computer in the scanner and try using some of the on off controls. fuel pump mil light, fans. But modifiying some tables that are questioniable will.
Could be one of a million things.
First, post the original file(you read from the pcm) as well as the file you wrote to the truck that caused a no start issue.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
