My old laptop got dropped and it was destroyed.I bought a new laptop but it doesn't have the correct port to work my HP. My HP plug only has 9 female plugs but the new laptop RGB port has 15 males.What do I need to buy new make it work? Please remember I'm not very good with pc's.

that port with 15 contacts is for a vga monitor. you need a usb to serial adaptor. most stores dont bother carrying them any longer,but you can find them on ebay or other online stores.
