    Tech2 help

OK so I have a tech 2 in my posession for the weekend.
I want to do a few things...
    1) I have a spare PCM and I want to make it work in my car. I have already changed the VIN # to match (using another pc program). But it still doesnt work.. I get the security light blinkin g in my face.. I think it has paskeyIII. I dont see anything in the tech 2 for this.

    2) I want to change some of the options in the BCM but when I set them and press the save settings button it says the BCM is secure and I cant change anything... how do I get around this? There has to be a way.

I do not have TIS 2000 software so no flash programming for me.. but anyone who has any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Tech2 help

In order to force a security relearn with a tech ii, you need to have a techline "station" so it tells me.

You SHOULD be able to do the key trick I told you as that works for just about all cars that I can find. Are you sure you are doing that procedure correctly?

As far as the BCM, adding things like the police mode settings is a locked option which means you need to do a program by VCI # or .... unlock the bcm first..

As far as talking to the tech ii via a pc, I can do this and am updating my program to support those as soon as I get the chance... (kids, wife, day job = little time)
