    '09 CTS-V w/ 60lb. Siemens Injectors

    Hello All,
Working on a 2009 Caddy CTS-V with full exhaust, Hennessy Cold Air Intake and Lower pully upgrade to make 15-16 psi. Has the Siemen/Deka 60lb. Injector (shorties), p/n 107962. Tried rescaling IFR with info posted on here and couldn't get fuel trims to lean out. Was pulling up to 25% fuel out. Ended up rescaling the MAF to get it in range. Fuel trims at idle are good now, but go a little crazy at part throttle. I know on some of these cars the IFR, MAF and VE need to be rescaled due to the 63 limit in the IFR, but the IFR table in the CTS-V can go much higher. Doesn't seem to make much of a difference though. I will post up scans and tune when I get back to office. Any thoughts on why it's still so rich with injectors rescaled?

First off, you need to actually use the correct injector data for those injectors.

Once you know the injector data is right, the VE and MAF need to be recalibrated. It honestly is extremely straight forward.

    Hello Dsteck,
I used the info from this post http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17085

Do you have any more info you want to share? Is there still the same limits in the IFR even though larger numbers can be inputted?

The data in that thread isn't 100% accurate. I'd suggest that you get the Greg Banish DVD. You should never try to tweak the IFR table to fix fuel trims. If trims are really far off, then you need to adjust the MAF and/or VE.

    Hello Dsteck,
I appreciate all your input, but I don't think we're on the same page. I wasn't tweaking the IFR to fix the fuel trims. I adjusted the IFR to match the data I found for the new Siemens 60# injectors. I figured once the injector data was inputed into the IFR, fuel trims would be in the ball park and just take some minor adjustments. I've done a few of these CTS-V with good results, but this is the first attempt at an injector upgrade. I plan on getting Greg's video, but that's not going to help me finish this car today. The main question i have is, since I'm able to enter larger numbers than 63 into the IFR, do I still need to rescale the other tables? Is this 63lb IFR limit refer to data that can be input into the table or is it a hardware limit?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Even when you have the correct injector data, you will still have to recalibrate the MAF. You will probably be hard pressed to find somebody willing to give you the injector data because the rest of us had to pay for it. The 63.X has no bearing in that PCM. That only applies to PCMs that actually have that limit, which the CTS-V does not so far as I know.

Did you ever get it running right. I have almost the same build.
