Why am I running 3200 rpms in 4th at 39MPH?!

So I'm trying to tune my transmission because it was acting screwy after the cam swap (converter lock/unlock, searching for fear, etc).

Anyway, I have no idea how this problem has started but it was shifting into 2nd and 3rd no problem, but it wouldn't shift into fourth properly. It would hit the point that it would normally shift (around 20% throttle and 35mph) and would then surge up in RPM real high until it reached my shift point and then it would shift. Easy enough...i lowered the 3-4 shift point and problem solved.

Now the real issue. When I'm in 4th the engine feels like its in first. By that I mean I was in 4th, going about 35 mph at about 10% throttle. When I gave it gas, it would hit the rev limiter. Then if it's try it again, it would pull hard like it was in first. So what the heck?! Is it the TCC lockup tables? Is it a mechanical problem (I had the trans rebuilt less than 5K miles ago and had the torque converter cleaned and a new hub put on).

I'll post my log and tune.

Copy Part throttle shift NORMAL to your tune, and the TCC Apply Normal & Release over to yours and see how it acts. Should be a bit better, the speeds are spaced out better.

Hey there, thanks a lot for the help but I was unable to open the.hpt file. It said "unable to open file, index was outside the bounds of the array". Any idea what that means? I've never had a problem opening a file up before from here.

I'll try that, I just downloaded beta and tried the shift points. That didn't do anything at all to help, so I'll try the other tables too. Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the help.

After all this nonsense I'm considering swapping to an M6. Heh.

No go, those settings didn't help or make it worse. I could post the new logs but they show the same thing: I'm in 4th gear at very low TPS% (10-20%) and I'm running 4000 rpm's at like 30 MPH. It'll hang at that speed as long as I have the pedal steady. If I let off the gas the speed drops quickly. If I roll the throttle quickly to over 90% it's like super instant throttle response and the car takes off really hard. It feel great but When I let off the throttle the rpms and speed drop together quickly (as opposed to rpms dropping fast and speed dropping slow).

The TCC is not locked but it does say Apply En (in hp tuners) unless I hit the brakes then it says off.

I used the VCM controls to put it in third (that's what it felt like) and it is different, so it is indeed in 4th gear when it says it is.

What sensor or mechanical part could be causing this?

Thanks for all the help guys, I really need it.
