    Shift Pressure

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and was wondering if its a good idea to change my shift pressures? Anyone adjust this and how should i go about doing this? I was thinking of doing this because when it shifts my truck actually makes you lurch foward between shifts and i hate that. Im just looking for nice firm shifts. I currently removed 100% TQ Management but havent loaded the file into my truck yet to see how its going to drive. Anyone out there with 100% TQ Management removed on a Chevy Tahoe with 5.3? How did it drive after it was removed? I did everything as posted in this thread.....

I would start out by adjusting the shift pressure in small steps. 5 psi at a time. As far as torque management goes keep in mind that if your transmission is shifting softer like you say it is and you remove your torque management then you will be causing more clutch slippage during shifts because the engine will continue making more torque during the shift. So you may want to firm up your shift pressures a little first before removing all torque management. The other parameters to try reducing would be your shift times. I actually did some tuning on my brothers 2500 Silverado and I ended up taking out 75% of the torque management and increased the shift pressures to get nice firm shifts that weren't too harsh. I also reduced his shift timers and increased the TCC minimum duty cycle to make the TCC engage more quickly and positively. Transmission tuning is a very personal thing to tune because everyone likes their vehicle to feel a certain way.

Ok so you say add 5 psi at a time so what exactly should i do? Do i just select the whole table and add 5 across the board and then see how it feels?
