Airload vs Calculated Load - Knocking

    2006 3.6 V6 Holden Commodore

I have always had an issue that today still aludes me how to fix it. My airload vs calculated load is always out a fair way and I beleive this is the reason my car is using the spark from the wrong load column which is the major issue for me that causes knock.

    eg.

1800rpm, airload is around 22% while calulated load is say 30%. It uses the 25% spark table instead of the 30% and thus knocks the same amount of degree's difference there is between the two spark columns.

So eg. say it ran 41' spark in that area when infact it should run 36' it'll knock roughly 5-6 degree's due to running the wrong spark from the area.

    --------

What do you guys think I should do to sort this out?

    --------

I have changed my diff, pacemaker heads with hi-flow cats (custom exhaust) and a SS Inductions pod filter setup.

So the maf is generally the area I attacked but if I increase the area's that have this problem or just the whole table it then reports me as running less calulated load?

I figure reporting less air wouldn't help on the maf so I haven't tried that.

I'm at a loss, I dont get it........ it seems to be my sole issue that relates to knock.

Have you tried to recalibrate the VE table to see if that will change the calculated load?
