    2005 Mustang No Start

In the middle of the reflash, the write failed and now the car will not start. I have tuned the car on the dyno and had no issues. Any ideas?

I would guess the cars battery went to low to finish the flash. Check the battery volts and if they are low place a charger on the battery and try Re-flashing.

I will check that and hopefully do not need a new PCM.

I connected the battery charger and the battery was good. It was at 85% and still cannot flash the PCM. The scanner will not connect either. Is there any way to reset the comm bus? The dash shows DTE ODO Data Error.

Checked PCM fuses and diodes as well. Nothing stands out and still troublshooting. I also made sure the OBDII port had power.

try an older one that worked and see if it will recover the flash. if not email support as they have a newer one out now that may fix it.

Still will not find the VCM. Also, the dash beeps a lot more and has faults for the Traction Control, ODO, Fuel Level, etc.

seems similar to my 2009 issue I had a few days ago. In my case no power failure, not even writing, but PATS got activated. Bill send me a beta version and it could recover PCM. The latest and greastest could not either.

I email them and being Saturday, not expecting any timely feedback. I am having it towed to a Ford Dealership and I will go from there.

That is good to hear and the Mustang is at the dealership. I called the service advisor and left him a message that I want another shot at recovering it. They haven't started working on it yet and do not want another PCM. Those things are $750 and they still need to flash it for more $$$.

Well, I used an older version and it worked. The VCM recovery worked as normal and the Mustang started right up. Thanks guys and if I could by a round of beers, I would.

Newest beta also should be able to recover as well.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
