Thread: Question about my Tune

    Question about my Tune

I'm curious if someone can take a look at my Tune and let me know or even help me out. I'm trying to richen up my idle, cruise and even WOT as well. My AFR right now at WOT is around 11.8-12.4. Trying to get it to stay around 11.8 across the board. My car has a wideband I run on the street with so it's in Open loop all the time. I attached my tune file, if someone can at least look at it and tell me what I need to do. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Engine is a L67 with a 2.8" pulley and 42.5 injectors, and many other mods.

    Thanks!

Hoping someone might be able to take a look. I noticed some kr at the track around the 100-110mph range. Not sure why, as my AFR was around 11.8 or so. Timing around 17-18 degrees.

Im pretty new to tuning but maybe i can help you out. As far as AFR tuning follow this write up http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...oop+maf+tuning worked awesome for me. Your AFR might be off because you didnt zero out your "Add vs RPM" table in Power Enrichment. Also looking at your IFR table it doenst look like you modified it for your 42.5 looks like it still on your 36 injectors. Multiply that entire table by 1.18. Also go to Airflow and set your "Timer Max" to 51200 because your probably loosing boost because your boost valve is closing. Maxing it out will keep it open and achieve max boost. You also have alot of Torque Management still and i recommend getting rid of some it just makes the car feel so much better. Take a look at my Tune on my 2003 GTP and copy my torque management settings to your tune you will like it much better.

Looks like we have similar mods. The only differences is I have a ZZP 2500 stall, TOGS, and 3.29 gears. I will adjust the injector table and the torque management table. I appreciate the help. BTW, this setup is in a Fiero. I appreciate the help.

Yeah no problem. You will most likely have to retune for AFR once you zero out that Add vs RPM table. Its up to you if you want to change that i found it much easiar to tune my AFR with this zeroed. I cant believe your car is running fine with your IFR table my car wont barely idle when i had the stock tables set. When you change the IFR im sure that will also throw off your AFR so be careful.

Heres how to 100% get rid of Torque Management....

    Maximum Torque
RPM vs. Gear - Max out
    vs. RPM - Max out

    Max Torque
Max Torque - Max to 640
Tip In Torque - Max out
Trans Input Max - Max out
Trans Output Max - Max out
Front Axle Max - Max out
Front Propshaft Max - Max out
Rear Axle Max - Max out
Rear Propshaft Max - Max out

    ETC Limits
ETC TPS Max - Max out

    Spark Retard
vs. Torque Reduction - Zero out

    Torque Loss %
vs. Spark Retard - Zero out

    Engine, Torque Management, Abuse:

    Drivetrain Abuse
    RPM > - Max out
    Speed < - Zero out
timer vs. Trans Temp - Zero out

    Trans, Torque Management:

    Abuse Mode
    Enabled - Set to Disabled
    RPM - Max out
    TPS - Max out
    Speed - Zero out
    Torque Reduction - Zero out

    Torque Reduction
    Normal - Zero out
Performance (aka Tow/Haul mode) - Zero out

I did this to my GTP but my tranny started slipping on a WOT first to second shift so i returned some to what i have now and it seems much better.
