tunning capabilties re: 04 colorado V8 swap hybird E40 PCM with 06 SSR basic tune

    I need to know if this software can do the following;

Vehicle infromation: 2004 colorado 2.8L 5spd regualr cab

engine info: 2007 GMC 2500 savana van 4.8L V8 three bolt throttle body, LS1 knock sensors. 24x igniton

    Computer info: 2006 Grand prix/impala or 06 trailblazer E40

engine modifecations: LS2 knock sensors, modifed throttle body harness to simulate LS2 style, CIA flowmasters

I want to change the grand prix/impalla or trailblazer tune, to a 2006 SSR wiht a manual transmision. Then:

    -delete vatts
-change final drive and tire ratio
-change displacement from 6.0L to 4.8L
-change the vin from the 06 SSR tune file to the same as my 04 colorado??

Is this possible, and how dificult is it to use? I can get Cpperformnce to do this for me for 450.00 for 50.00 more I can purchase HPtunners basic, and have the ability to change things in the future, just need to do if it can do everything that I need. Thanks -Jamie

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

OK what about the most important part? Switching a basic vehicle tune. I want to change the E40 from a trailblazer or impala to a SSR? They have the same service # Is this possable? A computer from a SSR is next to impossable to find! Thanks Jamie

likely? I would like to know for sure before I shell out 500.00 dollars. Surely someone has tried this before. Can you find out for sure if that works?

What do people useually do when they change the computers vehicle tune? I know Cpperformance does this sort of thing, I thought they used your software.

changing operating systems/vin numbers/etc is not the intended use of our product so while in some applications doing so may go as smooth as silk, i would have to say no if you are looking for a yes or no answer as I will always lean to the side of caution for these type of questions.

Out of curiosity, why are you so dead set on a SSR tune?
If you're making the necessary upgrades, any LS2 PCM would work for your application.

it has to be a SSR or trailblazer OS to work wiht my body control computer ang gauges or else they won't work, there are not any wires going to the cluster excpet data wires power and ground!

I talked to someone at MGM motor sports he will provide me the proper E40 controller and set it up wiht GM TIS starting wiht an SSR manual transmision os, and will mate the 4.8L tune form the 07 togather wiht that one using HPtunners, I will also get a copy of HP tunners with 6 credits left
