I was just making these change on my stock G8 and I noticed if you double click
on the whole table another table comes up Turbine RPM Axis.
Surprised the hell out of me. Anyone ever see this?
Should I leave the Min slip AC on at 20rpm?

The min slip AC is probably there so you don't notice the AC compressor transition as much. If your tuned correctly, your AC will disengage at a more power conducive RPM/TPS anyway. I don't see the number causing harm, but I have mine set to ZERO. I've noticed any value of 20 or less still leads to a slip RPM of 10 or less with a stock converter. 20 RPM does not mesh with a triple disk however.
HP has recently released another update for the 6L80E. This update allows full control of the TCC min apply (adder). I've tested it and works as advertised.

Full control of the TCC min/max apply value. Currently the stock setting is 17.8 psi which is not conducive to triple disk converters. Those feel better with a zero min apply. I run multiple values depending on the converter I'm running. Guys who want to lockup at WOT while racing can run a tune that applies max value instantaneously.
Ok, so I zero'd out all my TCC tables and LOST fuel efficiency. Is there any harm in making my tables diminishing tables for the gears? In other words, decrease the values as the TPS% increases until I get to Zero for the values? I posted a question about this also http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33264. I would think you would not want any slip at higher TPS% anyway.

The TCC slip tables are torque vs. rpm not TPS. Odd that you would lose fuel efficiency, commanding a lower rpm generally leads to better economy. I would say there are other factors at play. If you are commanding zero slip in DOD mode, which is where the money is made, you are definitely getting better economy. I gained 2 mpg just by doing that. I can drive from my house to OKC on one tank with 3.7 gears. The stock setup yielded the same trip/fuel used as well, but now I run 11's. The general rule of thumb is to mimic stock theory and refine it for your application. With the stock converter you can try just about anything, its single disk setup is pretty forgiving. I would say to play with multiple variations and see what feels the the best.
So the DOD and the TCC AC tables BOTH need to be zero'd, correct? If so I only completed 1/2 the equation. I will have to dig into it tonight.

Yes the DOD tables need zeroed as well. The normal tables will simply allow lockup at lower gear/speeds. As load is induced so is fuel consumption, so locking up at certain rpms will infact require more fuel. The benifit of zeroing out the DOD tables is overall load is decreased as the engine goes into 4 cylinder mode. You can monitor this with the delivered torque PID selected. I see savings in your future if you can keep your foot out of it LOL!!!
Except I do not have DOD so I think I may be SOL.......... Mine is VVT.

Sorry to bump an old thread but it seemed like a good place to post this. I've set all the tables to 0 both for AC off and DOD, but I'm still getting a bunch of slip. I'm really green when it comes to tuning, but I've read this whole thread plus the A6 basics thread, so I know a little, maybe even enough to be dangerous.
