Thread: Can I use the AFX simultaneously for NB and WB?

Can I use the AFX simultaneously for NB and WB?

    Hi,

I read through the manual for the AFX, but still cannot find the answer to my question...

On my LC1 I have 2 analog outputs... one for narrow band and one for wideband. This allows me to remove a narrow band sensor, put the wideband in it's place, and keep the PCM happy by feeding it the narrow band analog signal. At the same time I can log wideband data.

The AFX only appears to have one analog output and it looks to be the wideband. I cannot see any way to feed a narrow band signal.

Is there a way I can remove a narrow band sensor to use the AFX and still keep the PCM happy? Or, am I forced to weld another bung onto the exhaust?

    Thanks

Nope. Unfortunately the AFX doesn't have more than one analog output, and the one that it does have isn't programmable. That's one feature I likes about the LC-1... But oh well.

I'd weld another bung in anyway. I wouldn't trust the LC-1 to function the same as the factory narrowband would anyway.

    OK. Thanks.

I have an additional bung to use on my car, however...
How are people (tuners) tuning with the AFX then? Are all customers required to get an additional bung welded into their exhaust to be able to have their car tuned? This seems like a huge lacking in the AFX...
