Desktop tuning...car in carport, PC inside

Can I use a desktop that is about 30 ft away from my car?
I currently do not have my own laptop. I have one at work I can bring home but want to keep that to a minimum.

I don't expect to do any major driving tuning right now...just need the connection to flash the ecu. I have a wideband and HP tuners(Pro) but mainly to get my L92 swap up and running. I have future plans for twin turbos, hence having my own tuner.

Anyway, the question is, can I use a 30ft USB?
What are my other alternatives...other than move the desktop when tuning.

Buy a rolling cart from Harbour Freight and mount your desk top to it.

I used to drag the desktop out on the deck and use serial cable extensions when I was first starting to mess with OBDI tunercat. It actually worked pretty well, then I got a laptop and started bricking PCMs left and right because the battery wouldn't last.
