    '05 Silverado SS AWD tuning

I just picked up a low miles SS AWD and HPTuners and have been reading like crazy waiting on the software to arrive. One question I have is if the tuning on the LQ9 follows the same basic guidlines as the LS motors or are there other factors I need to look at. I've already been told to NOT remove TM because the truck can destroy the trans even bone stock but where do I go from there? I have the PCM Tuning Process Flow file and have read over it but I know it's not specifically for my application. I've read there are some big gains on a stock LQ9 just waiting to be unlocked.

Yes there is modify the shift points, take some Tm out not all, if you can get a wide band that will be best and adjust the spark tables.

There is a bunch of crappy traction control stuff
that involves the drive-by-wire throttle and a lot
of performance to gain by cleaning that up. But
yeah, I did that for a guy and he ate 2 or 3 4L60
transmissions shortly afterward (blower + jug had
a bit to do with it too). He went to a van PCM
to move to cable throttle and a TCI box to run a
4L80E, he hasn't broken that yet and is in the
mid 10s at near full weight. Running drag radials on
all 4 corners, you -need- the headrest. It's a
    brute.

On the 6L SS trucks, the PE is delayed till over 5000 rpm. Set the delay rpm to 0, the enable torque to 0%, and the enrichment rate to 2. This will make a huge difference in power.

As for the trans, first install the Corvette 2-4 servo, then fine tune the shift pressures to suit. Leave all the torque management tables stock and reduce the trans upshift torque reduction tables by 50%. If the truck has the optional NW7 traction control, just turn it off (push the button).

Maybe I have just been lucky but I have had all torque management completely removed for about 3 years now and my transmission still feels great and I am making a decent amount of power for a truck.

Lucky lucky when I installed the radix on mine my trans went in 2 months and it had 34,000 stock non tuned miles.

No video I know of. It's been through a couple of centrifugal
superchargers, currently a Vortech with too-small piping (a
100mm TB, carb style manifold but 2-1/2" pipe???). It ate
the 6.0 a few months back and now has a 427 aluminum with
a 230ish, high LSA cam. I forget whose heads. I have only
worked on drivability stuff since that swap. We're using the
2-bar SD OS. The nitrous is a wet shot and "fuggedaboudit"
    as far as tuning.

Thanks Russ. It helps a lot ot have someone like you around here. Too many people want to take HPT and turn it into a business and guard their "secrets".

I don't have any problem with someone making a buck off their knowledge but that's not what this forum is for and I respect your contribution here.

Could you explain this first part a little more? I think my newer software is a little different, I have Eq Ratio vs. Rpm but there are not any percent values to change in it
