    LB7 Failed to read

I've tried high, low speed, pulling fuses, and this thing will not read. I can scan and read DTC's, put can't read the tune. Anything else I can try?

If the truck has an aftermarket radio, ipod adapter or Xm/Sirius attachment added to the factory radio pull these fuses under the hood before reading
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Doesn't have any add ons, other than a brake controller. It does have the factory xm, in the head unit, but I've pulled the fuse. Heck, I've pulled a ton of fuses, without luck. I think the only last option is to take it to a dealer, and see if their tech II can flash it. I'm at a loss with it at this point. I never have a problem with my car.

i had the same trouble with a stock 03 lb7. wouldnt even read on a bench harness. i bought a used ecm and it read fine, even in the truck. support said it looked like the ecm was spewing out vats code every few millaseconds and wouldn't let it connect. if anyone else is having this problem maybe try doing a vats relearn first.

I have had success with the following methods.
1)Disconnect batteries for a couple of mins and retry
2)Pull radio and onstar fuse and try to read
3)Ask for latest beta as newest version seem to communicate better.

Haven't been on here in a while. I haven't messed with the truck in a while, been busy with other projects. I had a buddy read the pcm with a tech II and it will pull the file from the ecm. We made a change for tire size and tried to reload it, it wouldn't load. I'm thinking there is something wrong with the ecm. Why the tech II pulled the file and HPT didn't, I don't know.

I will probably play with it some this weekend. If I can find a new ecm cheap, I'll try that also.

Also make sure you try reading in low speed mode.
