MPVI Unable to locate VCM error with Scanner or Editor

I have an 03 Z06. I was at track last night and went to upload tune and ran into this problem. This is the error I am getting. I have done all things that I have found. The display on my dash says service Traction control guages not working, no fuel pump also says deduce engine power. I have checked all fuses including the ones in passenger floor board. Found none blown. Thanks for all your help. I have unhooked battery and tried again same issue. Only thing I can think of left is fried pcm or software issue. I have done a search and come up with a quote from Bill@HPtuners below.

If you receive an Unable to locate VCM error

The most common cause for this is that either your cable is not connected to the obd2 port or your key is not in the Run(On) position OR you could have a blown fuse in your fuse panel.

Commonly the obd2 port fuse is also the cigarette lighter fuse so thats the first to check, but this can vary from vehicle to vehicle as corvettes use a different REAR FOG/ALDL/TOP SW fuse located under the passenger floor.

Its rare that these issues are caused by our software & are usually a simple electrical or connection issue, however If you've checked all of your fuses & connections please contact support at hptuners.com with a vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle along with the year/make/model of the vehicle in question so that we can try to troubleshoot further.

Has everything connected ok before to this particular car or is this your first attempt at tuning this vehicle?

Open your door boots and make sure the wires are not exposed. I've read about the bus wires getting shorted and killing communications plenty of times on the C5 and that door boot harness seems to be a common place where it's exposed.

Does it still run? If you're using 2.23 just unplug the cable from the DLC and plug it back in. Sometimes this same thing happens to me and just unplugging the cable and plugging it back in cures it.

Need more details on the file you were trying to flash. Was it a variant of the original file read from the PCM or something else. You should post the file along with the original stock file.

Not a stock tune. 3 bar speed density. I downloaded the tune out of the car modified trans tune file. I have a 4L65 conversion in it. Changed shift points and loaded it back that is when the problem happened. At first did a write calibration only that is when it failed. Then it went into recovery mode and failed. So I tried write entire and wouldn't work. Got REP on dic in process.

Don't expect much help when you don't do what people trying to help ask you to do.

And you can open that file?? Because this is the error I get when I try and open it with both 2.22 and 2.23. I'd say you flashed a corrupted file and turned your PCM into a paper weight.
