Sorry I was thread skimming and I thought that Trifecta had been into that controller. If Vince has been into it, who knows what his own personal definition includes.

OK Just made it through this thread.

I currently don't have the GMS1, but I will probably buy the sensors. Am I ahead to do a write entire of a stage 1 tune then start working from there, or am I safe to work from my stock tune?

You can use the stock tune if you calibrate it with the GMS1 sensor data when you put them in, it'll boost harder than GMS1 as the base tune lacks some turbo protection the GMS1 file has built in (that we can't access).

Would it be a good idea to ramp the Max Airload Torque Table down a little leading up to the shift points in an automatic to help the transmission survive?

Still debating whether I start with my own tune or start with a GMS1 tune.

Does anyone have a 2008 Sky Redline automatic GMPP tune? (Or Solstice automatic would be fine I'm sure).

Either way, I need a GMS1 to look at whether I write entire it or copy parts of it...

I ran a stock tune on the GMPP 3 bar sensors with modifying the scaling for the 3 bar MAPs. Boosted better as the stock file lacks all the turbo protection stuff in the GMPP file.

Well a 6.9 60-100 doesn't seem all that great to me. It's really freakin hot out, but I was hoping mid-5's...

I guess I have a long way to go

That's not bad at all. Try going WOT at 55-57ish to let the trans kick down and to allow the tb enough time to open. Mind posting up your tune and the log for your 60-100 run?

How are you guys measuring the 60-100 time? say start at 50 and have full boost by the time u reach 60 or 60 and pin it? i think that's why there's such a huge gap between the red's time.

i ran 5.4 tonight 60-100 but that's with starting at lower speed in 3rd gear

Nail it at 53-55 so the throttle is at 100% at 60. My best was 4.4 sec stock turbo on 47% ethanol with IAT2's in the upper 30's last fall. Traction in 3rd was an issue.

didn't know you you guys were hitting it that soon! That just dropped half a second for me hiting it at 53mph! 6 seconds flat at 87 degrees ambient temp and humid as hell, K&N drop in and tune only on 93 octane. Not bad for the first week of tuning thanks to you guys I am so hooked.

It's the heat and humidity. If anything you should have gained a bit as you are 100% on the throttle plate when you go through 60 mph.

Wanna hook me up with a similar quality tune for 93 octane?!? I really would like to get down close to 5 seconds, I'd be thrilled in fact! I have stock turbo, full catless turboback.

It was 78 and high humidity for my run yesterday. I punched it by 56-57mph, so I don't think my number is far off from what you would have seen on my tune.

It takes a lot of fine tuning and logging to make times that low. Its not like you can just throw a tune that one car liked onto another car and it work. My fastest i could pull was a 4.7 with the clutch slipping until about 68 or so. My stage 4 should be here tomorrow... maybe i can pull some faster times

Oh I know there's no such thing as a universal tune -- at least not an aggressive one. I just can dream

As I continue to read here I'll get better, sub-5 seconds seems to be relatively common so 5 seconds isn't impossible for me.

Elevation, temperature & humidity all play a big factor. I'm at 700' above sea level. How 'bout you?

I do email tune & log corrections BTW, as do others on here.

    I'm about 1900'

I may take you up on a lookover after I do a little more work on my own. I would love to know what's good and what's bad. I'm mostly garnering information from these various LNF related threads though. I understand the concepts but I'm not too brave nor too experienced with tuning.

Which is why I told you to post a log and tune

This tune is what I hope is a decent starting point for a somewhat mild tune for a 2009 Solstice GXP with and automatic. I’m trying to be a little easy on the transmission. I’m wondering what effect ramping the Maximum Air Load Torque down ahead of shift points would have as apposed to straight lining. Would ramping it down reduce power ahead of the shifts?
I included the stock read for reference and any input would be appreciated.
