    shifting at high RPM

Did a tune for a guy a while back, he has a 2002 Grand Prix GTP I set up his shift point using my standard tune. 1-2 shift is set to 43 mph and 5850 RPM. He said it's shifting at about 6500. I looked over the tune and find nothing out of place. I asked what RPM are you running at when going 70mph. He said about 2300 rpm. OK, stock this car should have 2.93 gears, and that is how I tuned it. But the RPMs at 70 look more like 3.29 gears. Anyone else feel this is the case? The owner has no idea if the last owner changed the transmission. I'm wondering if I should change the trans setting to 3.69 and see what that does, or just drop his shift points back to stock. Thought?

Ya, same here. Sure sounds like his trans was changed at some point.
