    Question 99 c5 ve tuning

    I have 99 c5 vette I lined up for tuning

    Just a supercharger setup basically a stock c5 other the that

    I have read you can't tune ve unless you have the 1 bar os?

    So it takes 4 credits?

    Anyone have any expirence to shed some light


    Should be running 8-10 psi vortech v3 t trim with meth
    Stock clutch lol

    I believe you can tune VE regardless. The operating system just determines how the computer uses the information.

    You can tune the VE with a 2 credit license, however at 8-10psi I believe you'll already be maxing out a 1bar MAP sensor. A 2bar MAP should be enough though, wouldn't you guys think?

    2 BAR = ~14.7 psi above atmosphere. The sensor reads absolute pressure.

    My camaro had a vortech setup with the maf in place at 10 pounds. It's not the greatest solution imo, but it works. As Rinkrat mentioned... you could keep the stock maf setup and tune with 2 credits, or eliminate and move up to the 2 bar OS for 4 credits.
