    first tune questions

I have a 2004 lb7 with california emissions that I did my first tune on. I tried a combination of the mccrat 20/20 and the 50/50 timing. should this be safe?

I also cant figure out how to turn the egr off. Do i just put the on and off temps out of range so it will never turn on?

    thanks

Make sure you have a Block plate, but yes, changes the temps. Also, turn off the codes for EGR. Do you have a pyro?

No pyro yet. But will be getting one soon.
Any guess as to power gain with this tune?

    Thanks

Probably about a 50 rwhp increase over stock, maybe a little more.

So you gain ~50 horse. What about torque? 100-150? Or is that just an urban diesel myth, since horsepower is in fact a by-product of torque

To be honest, I am not sure. It has what I have heard, so I guess you could call it hearsay on my part lol.

I do know that the Duramax is not a 2:1 TQ to HP ratio, even though it's relatively close. How is your tuning coming along?
