Security Access Denied - Invalid Authorization Code

I just bought a 2001 duramax and keep getting this error everytime I try to read the VCM? Any ideas?
When I shut the VCM editor down I also get a windows application error.
I attached a file with the screenshots. Thanks for the help in advance.

Oh, the scanner connects and logs fine if that is any help.

    PCM is likely tunerlocked.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Everything on the truck is pretty much stock. It doesn't appear to have ever had any signs of any performance mods, stock all the way to the air filter and exhaust with no signs of any electronicsn ever being hooked up. I would say that the possibility of it being tunerlocked is highly unlikely.
Any other ideas? What is this beta version I have been seeing talk of? Would it have a possibility of working?

Invalid authoriation codes means the seed key is not stock, hence it is likely tunerlocked.

I get this BS occasionally only on LB7s. Just make sure the battery voltage is good and keep retrying until it works. I've had that error on bone stock trucks.

I figured it might be a problem with that OS. Seems like I have seen a few other people with similiar problems. Looks to be voltage problem on a few of them.
I tried it with a battery charger hooked up and it still gave the same error. I'm going to check pcm and OBD II port voltage, ground, and wiring when I get time.
Thanks for the info Matt. That confirms my suspicions.

You may have already tried this but make sure the "high speed" box is not checked when doing a full read.
