It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Hows 2.24 going Bill? Also can't you make the beta window not expire after 30 or so days?

I hate to be "that guy" but I was wondering what the time frame is to edit the maps? Or at least how long it generally takes to go from crack to code....

i just purchased a sonic 1.4 turbo, and cant wait to start hp tuning whit it. it def needs better throttle response, more boost, and of course mpg's. keep us updated and great work Bill and everyone at hp tuners. thanks

Very excited for you guys to release support for this car, just bought a 12' Cruze Eco. OEM tuned with low boost, 87 octane = lots of potential lurking! 3100 lb car makes a good power to weight ratio a lot more attainable too. 300 fwhp/40 mpg??? Wishful thinking

I just got a Sonic 1.4, came off the transport Wed, build date 3/14. Very interested in mild tuning.
I have been tuning these for the last 1.5 years and 175whp is realistic or 200hp / 220lb-ft at the crank. I am currently running 23 pounds measured at the intake manifold (around 25psi boost from the turbo) on 93 octane fuel - ported intake manifold, ported throttle body, K&N Typhoon intake and making 196hp (engine power, not wheel power) at 5200 rpm. Strapping a bigger turbo on it won't make any more power unless you can run more than 23psi at the manifold (you can't do this easily- it is a hard limit in the ECM) so you need to look next at DP,cams, exhaust manifolds, larger displacement, etc to get any more out of this motor (or run nitrous, meth injection, etc). The fuel system is also maxed out at 200hp (100% IDC at 11.8:1 at 200hp @5200 rpm), so no more fuel to support more power on E85 or nitrous unless you upgrade injectors.
That said, the car is pretty fun to drive with 200hp
Cheers,
Brian

It is difficult to measure the difference since there are many variables including driving styles, but with the ported manifold it may have a 1-2 mpg hit at highway cruising. Currently in 40F weather my 1LT automatic does 35-38 mpg at 65 on the highway with cruise control on. I never saw better than 38 before tuning or modifying it though. The baffles on the stock manifold appear to aid low speed fuel/air mixture, but definitely restrict high end power.
Cheers,
Brian
