My friend bought an s10 that had been converted to a manual. The pcm was never changed so its throwing auto codes. Other than checking turning off the dtc's is there anything else that needs to be done?

I guess that depends on what PCM you have. In my 2002 S10, in the TRANS/Auto Shift Properties/General tab, I have a menu for the type of trans. If yours has the same thing, select MANUAL and disable your DTC's.
