I'd like to know about this as well since I'm tuning a gen4 now.
My idle airflow .cfg file is for the gen III vehicles.

That needs to be tuned if you make any big changes like a cam swap etc right?
I would like to know as well. What I have now is great, as long as my foot is in it. But Idle is TERRIBLE.
My E38 didn't require much attention to get the idle right after the cam. I found the low number in Airflow Final Minimum where the idle started to fall apart, then found the high end where I got the cruise control effect, then set it in between the two. The rest was taken care of by fixing the timing tables. Maybe I just got lucky, but this ECM seems to be very good at managing idle.

I cant find it right now but if you search enough you will. 5 liter eater wrote a great procedure for getting idle airflow right on Gen 4's. You have to log idle adaptive spark and idle airflow against rpm. Worked great for me.
