what about VE correction factor in the dynamic airflow tab? im not sure as to what all this will relate to but i would assume that we would not want VE correction to take place in SD?

I've always wondered about this...Originally Posted by ws6firebirdta00
well i tried that, forget it doesnt work lol, but your 2000 rpm idea seems to be 2500 on my car and at high load in like 2nd gear

Maybe I should just rip all the wiring out and go with FAST XFI or something
ok so i put the 2002 OS in there, doesnt seem to go AS lean but definately very lean still on start ups.

nevermind, its just the same, im going to put the 2000 OS back in the car becuase i didnt have the startup issues that i now have, im putting a MAF on until this gets figured out, now if i can just find a connector...

What?!? You haven't figured this out yet? Geez man
i just put my 2000 OS in and everything got a little better, im going to order a MAF since i drive this car everyday, all this is doing is overheating the damn WB on me all the time

its odd becuase you would think the bias table would be the answer to the problem becuase this issue is at low flow. when i am on the gas its a lot better, esp at high airflow

if we had a way to wire up oil temp into the computer (maybe though an AC signal wire not being use, or egr, or the like) and can use that based on oil temp from a temp sending unit, we can have a correction factor based on it. as my oil temps go up, the fueling gets richer, which is understandable, but a 30* change in oil temps leans out my idle almost a half a point.

I just don't run oil in my car anymore because of this...seems to have fixed the problem
hahahaha

ws6,
Does the 2002 OS you used have the complex IAT temp model? and was it enabled ?
You should have a choice to use the model or straight IAT. IT also has added ECT/IAT biasing
Phil
damn i just typed a whole long thing in here and my pos computer just erased it all, shit.
anyway, tried that bias enabled, disabled, ect ect and nothing. i really pumped up the afterstart enrichment vs ect like you said and it really does not have any adverse side effects on a hot restart, so im kinda happy wtih that. as the oil temp heats up, idle fueling leans out. i did all my tuning between 150-180*F oil temp and the car seems to like starting better.
i went into dfco, cleared out the gas in the exhaust and my idle was 1-2% lean, i am wondering if the low flow in the exhaust is causing some odd fueling readings from the WB (i would really like to try it out in the primary). my afr has not went higher than a 17 (knock on wood) and has been in the 16-15 range a lot more. yes the problem is still there, i wish we had a way to wire an oil temp signal in for VE modifications as i think that would help even more. once my temps go near 200 i dont even bother logging because it fattens up a lot. with the maf, the maf is calculating the air and not relying on the ve that may be wacked at idle.
