    Cold Start tuning Ecotec 2.4

Hey everyone, new to HP tuners. I just finished a serious build on my 88 Fiero, threw a 2006 Ecotec 2.4l turbo into her. Stock internals but using 60# seimens injectors....car runs great EXCEPT for the cold start....wondering if anyone has any cold start tables for an application like this or advise. My tuner is going to attempt to fix it next week, i do have a wideband O2. problem is its being displayed via Magden M.1B computer to an LCD screen in my car, takes about 40 seconds to load, so by then we cant see what the AFR is doing RIGHT at start up. She always fires after 2 short cranks...but u have to hold the gas down gently for about 30 seconds before she will idle on her own. otherwise she just stalls out. So my mechanic ordered another wideband kit that he's gonna temp throw into my car to get a reading right away. See if she's too lean or what.

The only other thing in wondering is this...originally these ecotecs were designed with a returnless fuel system, my car has a return style fuel system now. Does that effect cold start tuning at all????? really curious about that. Just hoping that since this ecotec is running a return style if that messes with cold start tuning. Thanks in advance everyone!!

Those 60s are a hard thing to get perfect. Others on the CSS forum use the stock returnless system with 60s as long as the fuel pump can keep up. As for idle tuning, here's a good writeup for idle tuning. It's for LSx motors with E38 computer, but the config he shares works great for E37/E67 too. Just remember to convert to whatever units of measure you are using. His uses grams/second.
